Italy is a country of regions, and each region tells its own story through pasta, from rich northern classics to southern specialties full of Mediterranean flavor.

Why I Started This Pasta Blog

Behind this project is a master’s student working part time who loves to cook after a long day. For me, preparing Italian pasta is the perfect way to slow down and relax. I enjoy trying new recipes and tasting my way through Italy, discovering different traditions, flavors, and pasta shapes along the way.

My favorites

Pasta Shape – Linguine

Linguine is my favorite pasta shape because of its versatility and elegant texture. The long, flat strands hold sauces beautifully, whether it’s a light pesto, a seafood sauce, or a classic tomato sauce. Simple yet refined, linguine perfectly represents the beauty of Italian pasta.

Region – Rome

One of my favorite places in Italy is Rome, a city where history, culture, and food come together. I especially love the lively district of Trastevere, with its small bars, traditional restaurants, and street artists performing in the evening. Around Piazza di San Calisto and Piazza Santa Maria, where people gather to take a stroll before dinner and enjoy the warm atmosphere late into the night. It is the perfect place to experience the Italian way of life.

Pasta Dish – Pasta with Homemade Pesto

My favorite pasta dish is pasta with fresh homemade pesto. With just a few ingredients – fresh basil, olive oil, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan – it creates a simple but incredibly aromatic sauce. When mixed with freshly cooked pasta, it brings the fresh flavors of Italy directly to the table.
